PTFA

About our PTFA

A warm welcome to Tynsel Parkes CE Primary Academy's PTFA.  (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association). Parents and carers, along with all school employees are automatically members; however, there is an elected committee and a growing number of volunteers for those who wish to be more involved with fundraising.
The PTFA help to co-ordinate a number of activities throughout the school year, including:

Santa’s visit to school
Christmas coffee morning
Valentine disco
Spring Fair
Cake/ Bake sales
Y4 Leavers event

Additionally the PTFA provides Sports Day refreshments and the Leaver’s Gift presented to all Year 4 children.
Where opportunities are identified by the School, the PTFA seeks to enrich the learning and experience of children; for example, this has included subsidising travel costs for theatre trips, the extension of the outdoor learning environment to include a willow dome, and currently the PTFA are looking to finance computing technologies for classroom use.

PTFA. meetings are usually once every half term and take place at 2.00pm on a Wednesday at school.   These are advertised in advance through our Tynsel Parkes PTFA facebook page, email and/or a flyer sent home with your child/children. We would love to see you there! If you are unable to make meetings but would like to receive the minutes then you are welcome to join our e-mailing list, via the school office.
