The TP is a before and after school club for the pupils of Tynsel Parkes. Here your child can play and learn in purpose built facility with health and safety of the children is a priority.  The TP also promotes outdoor learning and has access to Tynsel Parkes’ outdoor facilities. Security is thorough with entrance doors being locked at all times and no child being allowed home with anyone other than a parent or other nominated person and by prior arrangement with the staff.  The TP gates will be open from 7.30am.

Activities

TP will provide structured play and activities to educate whilst entertaining the children. Although the emphasis is on fun, Ofsted do require evidence that there is planned activity and that the children’s needs are met.

The added benefit of the extended care service is that the staff who run the TP are also employed by the academy as learning support staff or lunchtime supervisors, consequently they have our school values at the forefront of everything they do! They are committed to teaching the children new skills and games during their time in the club as well as providing lots of fun with relaxation time if needed.

Overall, our aim is to provide a mix of learning and fun to encourage development in a way that is both relevant to the children and relaxed.

Health Eating

There will be breakfast in the form of toast or cereal in the morning and a tea time snack provided in the afternoon.

Opening Hours

The opening hours for The TP are Monday to Friday 7.30am – Start of School and End of School – 5.30pm.

The TP will close during all school holidays, bank holidays and inset days.  No fees are charged during these closures.  We do not charge a retainer for holiday absence.
