Primary Science Quality Mark

15th September 2017

The children and staff at Tynsel Parkes Primary Academy are extremely proud to announce that the school has been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark, after working towards it during the last academic year (2016-17). This is a nationally recognised award which celebrates a commitment to excellence in Science teaching and learning. Well done to everyone involved for this amazing achievement!

Mrs Wilcock (Science Co-ordinator)

Jane Turner, PSQM National Director said: “Gaining a Primary Science Quality Award is a significant achievement for a school.  The profile and quality of science teaching and learning in each awarded school is very high. Children are engaging with great science both in and outside the classroom, developing positive attitudes towards science as well as secure science understanding and skills. Science subject leaders, their colleagues, head teachers, children, parents and governors should be very proud.”

I would just like to add ‘Well Done!!’ to the school, awards recognise the hard work that staff and children apply to their teaching and learning.  I would like to say a big thank you to Mrs. Wilcock who is our science co-ordinator at Tynsel Parkes CE Academy and has worked extremely hard last year co-ordinating science and promoting the subject throughout the school.
