‘At Tynsel Parkes Church of England Primary Academy our vision is for everyone to feel valued and be all they can be whilst embracing Christian values in our daily lives.’

Our Academy Values

Our vision starts with our Christian Values, from which all else will flow. The Academy’s distinctive Christian Values are;

Love: ‘A new command I give you: Love one another.‘ (John 13:34)

Respect: ‘Think of the kindness you wish others would show you; do the same for them’ (Luke 6 : 3)

Teamwork: ‘Two are better off than one, because together they can work effectively. If one of them falls down the other can help him up’ (Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12)

Determination: ‘Keep your mind on Jesus…then you won’t get discouraged and give up’ (Hebrews 12:3)

Belief : ‘Don’t be afraid, just believe’ (Mark 5:36)

Happiness: ‘A glad heart makes a happy face’ (Proverbs 15:13)

Appreciation: ‘This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it’ (Psalm 118:24)

Our Vision

“Our academy is a welcoming community, committed to providing a nurturing and safe environment where every child is valued and loved. We aim to foster a love for learning that is supported in the teachings of the Bible: “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.” – 1 John 4:7.  We work together, encouraging all to become compassionate, confident, and responsible individuals who positively contribute to their communities and the world around us. We are dedicated to creating a learning environment that reflects the love of God, where every child can grow and learn with happiness, encouraging all to treat one another with kindness and respect. Reflected through our living motto practiced throughout the academy ‘Loving & Learning Together’.”

What our badge symbolises to the community of Tynsel Parkes:

The emblem of Tynsel Parkes will remind the children of the school and the community in which we live alongside the academy’s mission, it was designed by pupils who attended Tynsel Parkes. The central symbol of the cross denotes that we are all God’s children working to be the best we can be whilst embracing Christian Values.

The green on the cross represents the natural world, with the understanding that as God’s children we have to care and look after all living things, living in harmony with one another in the world around us. The grey circles at the foot of the cross are the faces of all children of the school; in the past, the present and in the future, reminding us that children are at the heart of all we do at school, where everybody is recognised and valued.

The love of learning is depicted by the book of the Bible, representing all books we use in the school. Bright primary colours give a fresh brightness to the badge showing that at Tynsel Parkes we deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, ambitious and challenging to all. The yellow band at the top depicts a row of candles burning with living flames illustrating that we are all living and working together at Tynsel Parkes to be the best we can be.
