Welcome To Tynsel Parkes C.E. Primary Academy

Tynsel Parkes C.E. Primary Academy is a Christian Church Academy whose motto ‘Loving and Learning Together’ permeates every aspect of academy life.
This is a very happy place where children have fun learning.  High aspirations and expectations are evident from everyone; child and adult alike.

Learning is tailored to children’s needs and interests inside and outside the classroom.

Children are fully engaged and active participants in driving forward their learning; they are encouraged and supported to become independent learners and thinkers in all areas of the curriculum.

Sports
 & P.E

An active heathy life is what we aim to achieve for all here at Tynsel Parkes C.E. Primary Academy.  We believe that this supports good learning attitudes, good social skills and a healthy wellbeing.

Tynsel Parkes provides opportunities for the pupils to engage in an array of activities that excite, challenge and develop the whole child.

Inclusive physical education is planned and delivered discretely but it also crosses over in to our creative curriculum and outdoor learning.

Phonics
 & Literacy

To be able to read is a necessary skill for life and learning but it doesn’t just stop there; having a love for literature can open up a world that is multi – dimensional. 

Would you like to be Peter from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe or immerse yourself into a factual text that will challenge and inspire you to be a researcher, discoverer or scientist; the love of reading and of literature can do that.

Would you love to become a writer; journalist or author?  Reading for writing is very much a focus of our academy and we structure our pupils’ learning around developing skills in phonics and then building on them as they become more proficient learners.

Outdoor
 Learning

Forest Schools offers a unique teaching and learning experience where children are given the opportunity to connect with and learn via the outside environment.  The aim is to capture children’s curiosity, stimulate senses, build self-confidence and nurture well-being.

 

 

There are opportunities to explore, enquire, develop language and reasoning skills, problem solve and develop independence and perseverance through a combination of activities; that are either linked to the children’s topic work or stand alone.
