At Tynsel Parkes CE Primary Academy, Christian values are embedded in many parts of the curriculum and plays a central role in the life of the academy.  There are daily acts of worship where we sing hymns, listen to stories, a time of reflection and prayer.  Throughout the school day there are opportunities for prayer and reflection. Our Collective Worship will often link to our Academy Christian Values through a story and a Bible reading.

Children help to plan, organise and lead services which are held at St. Mary’s Church: Harvest, Christmas, Easter, and the Leavers’ Service.  Children may use Bible readings and write their own prayers throughout the school week and during times of worship.

Worship through the week:

Monday – Whole school worship/Visitor whole school worship.

Tuesday – Reflection time and worship through song.

Wednesday – Class worship through picture news.

Thursday – Class worship.

Friday – Whole school celebration worship or visitor worship.

Tynsel Parkes has a worship team who work together and meet once a week at a lunchtime with a Christian Youth Worker, to prepare acts of worship linked to the core Christian Academy Values.
